I've looked at a lot of things to try and figure out what is wrong with my Tort, but could someone look at this pic? I'm not sure if its shellrot or dehydration or something. His eyes have been watering a little too.

The Tortoise deifnately looks dehydrated. The white could either be mineral deposits or shell fungus. You would have to figure out which and treat accordingly......

Well, I'm hoping someone can give me an idea of which. I'm trying to keep his area more humid and soaking him now. If its shell rot, how would I treat it?

It's dehydrated to begin with, as others have told you. Start soaking him more...
And its shell fungus.

I gave a rundown here for treating it. It should be no big deal in clear up in less then a week, if you follow the treatment.

By the way, what is your diet, and how long have you had him? The back nails look a bit to long, which can be a tell-tale sign of MBD....What's your temps and humidity? Just looks like there could be something else going on as well.

He looks dry, what is your setup like? How often are you giving soakes? The watering eyes could be a few things. It may be that your enclosure is too dry. What is your humidity?

The humidity isn't high enough now. usually 50-60% or lower. Trying to keep it up, and I plan on getting a fogger/mister to help with that.

As for diet, I usually feed him organic leaves/herbs from the grocery store. Baby spring mix

The humidity needs to be 80-90%, so try to get it that as soon as possible. Thats likely the reason for the dry eyes.
Also, what is the substrate your using?

Is the spring mix it? You really need more of a variety then that...Dark, leafy greens...Fruits...Some veggies. Flowers.

I'm using cypress mulch and some bark, and moss. And thats all I've been feeding him except for the occasional bit of pear or apple.

The substrate sounds good, but the humidity needs way upped. And I hate to tell you, but you need to work on his diet...Spring mix is NOT sufficient, and he won't survive forever on it.

Here's a good link of sources for diet. I can send you the whole list and diet I use via pm if you would like.

We can't determine that from a picture. The two will look the same. There are plenty of threads on Shell Fungus, including one stickied in the Tortoise Health Forum........

I started treating my Red foot, Ralph, as directed by the forum, as well as soaking him often and the spots on his shell have cleared up well. I don't have a camera at the moment, so I can't take pictures, but hopefully I managed to nip it in the bud.
