I think my tortoise has injured its shell...what is the best way to treat it? I have uploaded a photo of the injury, any help of advice would be appreciated!

The best way to treat an injury like that is to leave it alone. Keep flies off it and maybe dab on a bit of antibiotic ointment.

cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil is a natural powerful anti-fungal, anti-bacterial with a qtip apply a small amount to the injured part of the shell. It will help resist infection naturally with no bad side effects. I'll post a link to my current research and opinoin on this oil and you can be the judge for yourself.

I am currently using this natural oil multiple times a week as laid out in the thread above with interesting results. I feel this oil can directly help this incident to prevent infection.
