Is this tortoise acting normally or is it lethargic and sleeping all the time?

Has tortoise suffered a fall or anything that you know of? Any of these following details might potentially come in useful when advising too

What are your temperatures like all over? Ie basking temp(directly under the bulb), overall day temps(middle and cooler side), night temps?
What kind of basking bulb is being used specifically? Packaging photos are good if you have any
Do you use indoor uv? If so what kind?
How’s humidity?
What’s his substrate?
What kind of monitoring do you have?
What’s his diet been like with you?

A photo of the full set up would be wonderful! Welcome to the forum🐢💚

No worries, this site is a great tool for hopefully clearing up any confusion, I like the fact you can challenge people here to truly understand why the care recommendations are what they are, hopefully someone can help you once we have a better idea on set up🐢💚

Please show us some pics of his enclosure. And tell us what he eats, do you offer calcium, how much UVB are you giving him? How often does he get soaked?
Hes eating mixed leaves at moment, and always calcium put on it

You need to settle in to one place. Its good to check all over until you find the right one, but since here has the most up-to-date info, let go of the other info you've run across.

It will only make you crazy trying to follow the directions from different places. Its like trying to bake a cake, but switching recipes mid-process. The chances of a good outcome diminish exponentially with every switch. If any of the older info commonly available elsewhere has been proven to be best, you'll find its here, too. But some of the best practices and info from here, you won't find elsewhere.

That said ~

Remove those plants immediately.
nephthytis (Syngonium podophyllum), also known as arrowhead plant, is poisonous to humans and animals.

Toxicity
  • The plant's sap contains calcium oxalate crystals that cause irritation and health issues.

  • The plant's toxic nature is due to its idioblasts, which are cells made up of non-living substances.

Then -

How often are you soaking your tortoise? That enclosure looks awfully dry (as does her plastron).

What is the substrate? It looks sandy to me and sand can cause impactions. If it just very dry coco coir it needs to be made damp - not soggy, but it seems too dusty now.

The water dish needs to be larger and a terracotta plant saucer instead of the little gray plastic one.

I'll let the others take it from here.

Only a pinch of calcium two or three times per week. Too much is as bad as not enough.
