I inherited Lucy and Ethel. Lucy's shell is about 16" long but when I got her she had pyramids and what I believe has an abnormality towards back of shell. They eat bermuda grasses, weeds, kale, collard greens, cuttlebones, water bowls and on occassion cactus and iceburg lettuce. The walk on their own daily into their barn that has a timothy hay bedding and with heated lighting for winter nights. They never hibernate but will sleep for 2-3 days at a time in winter. I shared all that in case anyone would ask. I notice the shells are pretty dry so i massaged some coconut oil on them today per a sulcata youtube video. Please view pics and let me know if Lucy's shell cracked at one time before I got her or is it truth what seller said that female sulcatas shells do this.PhotoGrid_1455481974776.jpg

Those are some unique scutes. Higher incubation temps are linked to extra/split scutes like she has. Also most tortoises that are incubated at higher temps are female. It just happens sometimes. I think she looks neat.
