Ok so I just took in 3 new sullies and one I know is a boy the other is still to small but the third is about 13 inches and I was unsure until a few moments ago. I was watching it eat when something came out of it's vent, I am guessing this means it's a boy right. I was leaning towards male anyway but it does have a rather small tail. I don't know what tort junk looks like but I'm guessing if it can come out it's a boy. Can somebody confirm?

That's usually the case, but on occasion a female might show something too.

I would say it looks almost like a backwards mushroom.. Can't think of another example..

This was a big blob of a thing and it kinda flared out on the ground and it moved it back and forth on the ground. It's really hard to explain but it did resemble a mushroom I guess, so boy or girl
