Googootz has lived solo in his own place since I rescued him last August. Along came a 5 year old female 3 months ago. They have both had vet checks and are quite healthy.

I have attempted to introduce them to each other, on neutral territory. Goo just goes right after her to ram her. I have held him back from ramming as I was worried it would stress her.

Is there any chance they will get along?

That is getting along to a male :p Males only do 3 things, eat, sleep and breed. So he's doing what comes naturally, trying to breed. If the female isn't large enough to lay, than I wouldn't put them together. You may be able to get away with it when they are outside, with lots of sight barriers.
Welcome to the world of randy male Greek tortoises :D
