From my research figs are a great fruit for my redfoots and they are loving them. I just came across an abandoned tree yesterday that is heavy with them - but this IS Oregon and they aren't going to last.
How should I try to preserve some? Freezing, drying, canning, etc? Vern still goes nuts for frozen fruits so if they freeze okay I'm fine with trying it. I just want to know if anyone has a fool proof method. If I don't have to learn to use a pressure canner that would be great.
