I heard something about putting some salt in the tank water to help keep it cleaner and keep the turtle healthier and i wanted to know how much you are supposed to add, and can you use regular salt or do you have to use special salt? Oh and can i use it in my musk turtle tank?

I would not put salts of any kind in my turtle tank.unless you have a sea turtle.

A teaspoon per 10gal works great. it has to be DE-IONIZED SALT(aquarium or kosher salt), iodine can kill fresh water creatures, makes the PH more acidic, to the 6.5-6.7 range, which helps cut down on bacteria growth.
