My 1 year old Russian tortoise has been having pink instead of white pee and it is concerning my. We don’t feed him dandelion or any other food I have read can cause pink pee and I’m worried it might be blood. He seems fine other than this a part from that he doesn’t poo very often (twice a week) whereas when I first got him he would poo at least once a day. Any help is greatly appreciated.

My tort had this. It was the prickly pear cactus fruit I fed him. Go ahead and get him tested, but think carefully if you fed him anything that would have caused that. Good luck!

I only really fed him green leaves when I posted this (which I now know is the wrong thing - there needs to be variety) however I have changed his diet since then to a mix of things and the pee is still pink, but that could be expected now as he now has radicchio. But before this it was pink. Could plain green leaves cause this?
