Cute, but boy don't take your eyes off him in that tall grass. They can disappear in an instant. Usually not far, but you'd be amazed how they can blend away. I have had it happen to me when my leopard was tiny and he was in his enclosure and right where I had looked already. Even though I knew he couldn't get out, I still panicked.

I had one of mine dssapear on me while another was choking on a big snail and I took my eyes off him fotjust few seconds. That's all that took! 4 weeks of seach and agonizing waiting. I'm now thinking of marking my babies somehow so that they stand out more out between plants

Has anyone ever concocted a tortoise harness with a little flag on top? Like they have for bikes and scooters?

I've seen tortoise harnesses...and tortoise cozies...but no tortoise 'antenna' or 'flag'...
