My store does not carry Sphagnum Moss , so is this okay for box turtles and Russian tortoises?

I would think that'd work. I'd probably use that if I didn't have sphagnum. Get a couple more thumbs up from others first (cuz I can always be super wrong sometimes) :D

Try Home depot or Lowe's garden section.

I did, Home Depot doesn't have it and there is not a Lowe's in this town. I called around to different nurseries and they didn't have it either. I checked several other stores and all they have is Pete Moss. It's kind of frustrating. So when I found this I thought maybe it would work.

So maybe what I got from Home Depot are Pete Moss, not Green Moss. Is there big difference?

Pete moss and sphagnum are pretty much the same, as leigti said. I don't see why not, wither. I would wash it of first, before it adding it, in case there is something yucky on there :)
