I paid just under $500 Canadian for my red foot hatchling here in Ontario. I'm sure that's high, but not sure. No idea on what a pair would go for, but those two are gorgeous!

Hatchlings are around the £100 make here in the UK.

That's $600 us or so? If so it's good side of average. Redfoot hatchlings are 80-120$ here

I would expect a pair like that to be $400 to $600.
This market is strange, though, because Redfoot are very common.
In reality I wouldn't expect more than $250.
I sold my hatchlings for $40 each.
$40 seems very cheap Ed. Even the med species fetch £60 for hatchlings and there is no shortage of them over here.

I would expect to see two beauties like that prices for $500 together or $250 each here and there is no real market for them. I have 6 redfoots and I've shelled out a grand total of $100 for them because people just keep dumping them on me for free. Ruby was my first and the only one I paid for.

Same here.
Of my 7 I purchased one for $80.
Gave $50 for four and $30 for three others. Then I gave away one that was a Cherryhead to another member here.
$40 is the wholesale price that I sold mine to a decent pet shop for.

Very pretty, very well kept torts! Craig, I think Ed sold his hatchlings to pet store- "middle man" , I'm sure they will charge their destination buyers the "regular" (around 100$) price
True. The pet shop has them for $139....On sale for just $109!!

Depends where you are too. Out here in Southern CA these just don't come up for sale at all, so higher price here, plus shipping of $65+ ea if coming from east coast.

Damn! That pet shop has pretty high profit margin!

Live animals are almost always 3x markup in industry. This accounts for overhead, husbandry and mortality.

I supply baby crested geckos around county for $13-16 ea and they sell $49-59 as well.

By the sound of it good redfoots like these fetch a better price over here than in the USA. It's probably the opposite with the med species which makes sense I suppose.
I thought these were an exceptionally good price. Very rare do redfoots of this quality turn up in the UK. I remember seeing a huge adult wild caught male here for sale about 3 yrs ago for £400. It was probably the best male I've ever seen and regret not buying it back then. There was also a good Treo 1.2 a while back for £900, all 3 were perfect.(WC)
I couldn't see the hypos that JD produces fetching the prices over here he gets. We brits are too tight fisted. :D

Gets---or asks. I don't many hypos selling here in the US for the prices I see them advertised for. I think a lot of the breeders have pie-in-the-sky expectations.
