Red Foot enclosure build.. Have a few questions

can someone help me out? I'm about to build a 5 foot long by 3 foot wide by 2 ft tall enclosed wooden enclosure for a red foot I am purchasing soon. That's quite a bit of wood.. Can someone tell me a safe kind for a tortoise specifically a kind that doesn't cost a ton! Also what sealant should I use? I will be covering the inside with a clear shower curtain!

Also any plants or substrates?

If you are covering all wood surfaces with a thick liner, I don't think you need to be concerned about wood type.

If you use a liner, cheap interior pine would be ok.
