Random questions about people's signatures..

I see people's signature having the name and type of tortoises. What is teh number for? I'm guessing that it indicates its age, perhaps divided into year.month.day? hahahah. I don't know.
I just can't figure out what number.number.number means. Like, 0.1.0 or 0.1.

nope its sex of the animal

The first number is for males, the second for females, and the third for unsexed babies.

Example. I have a male and female greek tortoise. Nigel and Anouk.

SOOO my sig is

1.1.0 Greek tortoises (Nigel and Anouk)
