I have a 8lb 12 inch 10 yr old rescued Sulcata (Harley). I know He has MBD pretty bad from his earlier care taker.

He is eating a lot- Am feeding him two times a day - Once in the am & then in the early eve. Big piles of mixed approved greens. He always has hay but never touches it. He always seemed hungry when I feed him once a day so I added a morning feeding which he grazes off all day. Is this too much?????

Now for Calcium & D3- I have the mixed calcium & D3 powder & put a pinch in a zip lock & shake his food into it once a day. He always has cuttlebones & he does use them but not often. It is hard for him to get to them as he can not eat anything flat on ground level. I had to put his food on a shelf like rock & that is working well.
Is this too much calcium/d3 for his size??????

For the shape he sounds like he is in. He probably does need the extra calcium and D3. I'm not sure I would do it every day though. Specially because only a pinch is recommended for a hatchling tort 1-2 times a week. See what the others say. Good luck, glad you were able to help him.
