i been looking on the Shelled warriors forums, and wanted to know if anyone on this site uses cold frames, i was thinking of building one, so any ideas on a easy design?

i think it is, lol Its pretty much a mini greenhouse. They use it to have in the outdoor enclosure for cooler days and nights. It holds temps well. Usually used for flowers. here are some pictures

They work very well for cool sunny days, but don't think they'd work well for cool to cold nights. I don't use them but if I did I'd use them for cool sunny days.
If your going to make your own Kyle, I'd use plexiglass as that lets in UV rays where glass filters almost all UV out.

well i think i'm going to build one for the cooler mornings we have, sometimes it takes a few hours for us to reach good temps in the mornings, but the sun is out and stuff. I am also thinking of a heated shed, or something like that, depends though, it doesnt get to cold in our summer nights high 50s, but i would like them to have a nice area to sleep in. If it did get cooler i would just bring them inside. When i keep my torts out in the summer, seems like they do better overall, and grow a lot better, thats one reason i want my guys to be out as much as possible this summer
