the hibiscus flowers are the torts favourite and are no harm to them so together with the spring mix it would be like icing on a cake....:tort::tort:

and as far as availability is concerned it is easily available in plant nursery.... i myself bought a small seedling and in less then 2 months it has gown up and is yielding 10 flowers a day!! :)

Lettuce is fine occasionally, but you should vary it up a bit by including grasses and mazuri.

I don't see why you can't refrigerate? I'm growing my star some clover and he loves it so far. Hasn't gone for the grass yet.

I'll let you know how he likes my other plants when they come up. I'm hoping to grow most of his food :)

Can you get cactus where you are? My babies devour it!

I feed cactus to my hatchlings. Make sure its the spineless. It has very small needles on it. You really cant see them until they stick in your fingers.
I have never had a problem feeding my babies or adults cactus.
Yes, I cut it up into small squares and I use the new growth portions. They have no pricklers at all.

Too bad you weren't in the US. I would mail you some. I grow it here in FL.
