Question about type of soil for planting!

IM deciding on growing some plants for my sulcata tortoise and was wondering if the type of soil I'm using would matter??

Not really if you are planting in a pot I would avoid any with any added chemicals.

Will the tortoise have access to the soil?

I would be careful with using systemic chemical type fertilizers and what not too. The more "natural" type fertilizers that are used for growing vegetables intended for human consumption should be fine.
