Hey guys,

I can't tell if Marley's pyramiding has stayed the same since I got him 13 months ago11111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111111

Sorry, excuse the tortoise walking across the keyboard...

Yeah, so, I can't tell if his pyramiding has stayed the same, or if it has gotten worse, or if it is better than what it would be if his pyramiding would have carried on at the same rate. What do you all think? Here are some comparison pics:

When I first got him 13 months ago:

Thanks for any opinions. I just want to check how I'm doing with him.

I think he has gotten worse. Could be because he has gotten bigger. What is your housing like and what are you feeding? Have you been taking him outside?

I think it looks the same because your more recent pic is at a slightly lower angle so it's difficult to tell. It would be more accurate if you could get two pics at the same height/angle.

Looks like it continued following the same pattern, but its really not bad at all. As long as all else is good, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

That was my thought too; that it continued at the same rate. I bought him at 12 months old (apparently past the age of being able to stop it, as once the year mark hits, the growth pattern is set) and I have indeed failed to stop it. But I'm glad I haven't made it any worse.

And Laney, here is my main comparison pic I have been making since keeping him, I've tried to keep the pics at similar angles. This pic might shed some more light on his growth pattern:

Its a cascade, once it starts its always gonna progress slighty. I think you have done very well to slow it down, and it only has gotten slightly worse but that isnt your fault. My two torts were dry for first 5-6 months of their life and i slowed it down but its twice as bad as yours. ImageUploadedByTortForum1378077625.492694.jpg
