I have a yearling who went into his water dish before I left for work & when I got back a few hours later he was still in there. I took him out, & placed him under his lamp to heat up & he crawled into his house. But in his water, there was an odd liquid/solid substance in his water (which wasn't there before I left for work). It almost looks like very clear snot, or the goo that encases frog eggs. It's about the size of a marble. Does anyone know what it could be? & should I worry about it?

Not sure what you seen. However, are you sure your tortoise can get out of the water dish easily and on his own?

I'm positive he can get out. I took a few photos to show you. ImageUploadedByTortForum1374369816.485913.jpg this is him next to his bowl, to show you that he can access & get out of his water bowl easily.
