I've read about petunias, and this is what I've read about pretty petunias:
Pretty petunias (Petunia x hybrida) are perennial or annual flowering plants that belong to the nightshade family, Solanaceae, making them related to peppers, potatoes, tomatoes and tobacco. Petunias are relatively easy to grow and maintain, blooming from spring until first frost in mild climates. Although petunias are usually grown outdoors in window boxes, containers or flower beds, they can also thrive indoors if you put them near a sunny window and give them regular care.
Does that mean pretty petunias are toxic? I thought petunias are ok?

Nightshade IS toxic. But sometimes plants within the family may be harmless.

Potatoes, tomatoes, eggplant, cayenne & paprika are in the nightshade family. Nightshade is toxic, but we're fond of most of the family.
