I was thinking of growing this for squirt is it ok for him to eat?

Portulac seems to be ok. But I remember something about it not being suited as a staple diet.

I just went on the tortoisetable abd they say to avoid it due to its high oxaluc acid content. It shouldn't hurt every once in a while though.
