Have you put the meds inside his favorite treat? Maybe do just a little bit in several bites.

Does your vet board animals? I would ask that way he is getting the best care while you are gone.

I recently rescued a two year old Redfoot that was sick with a resp. infection.
He was placed on injections every other day for 21 days. It worked.
Did you go to a vet that specializes in reptiles?
Please make sure temps are up, i. The enclosure to 85, 24/7. This will help build his immune system.
Can you take him back to the vet?
Can a friend provide the treatment he needs while you are gone?

Ya I am going to do shots because I got him to eat and he will spit the food out if the mess are in it.

Take care where you inject the tortoise so as not to cause permanent muscle damage, especially if the tortoise is small.
