They are beautiful!!! I love the look of the 3 toed box turtle. I can't wait to see what mine are going to look like as adults. I hope they have the high domed shell like yours. Thanks for sharing. I always enjoy pictures of box turtles.Your enclosures look great.

I hatched one and it takes a year or two to get the high domed shells, mine had a growth spurt at about 1.5 years.
Thanks! ...they are like mini Galapagos tortoises, so cool!

Would you please share some enclosure that will help them to get high domed shells? Thanks in advance.

Not sure what you mean, the diet would be more important for natural shell growth, not too much calcium, try for a balanced diet. Live foods earthworms, waxworms, and such mostly at first, but always offer veggies strawberries bananas work best for this.
here he is with his mom at two to give an idea of size growth, I keep them separated for first 2 years for drowning and feeding issues, the larger ones are not aggressive to the young ones. they just need different environment.

The little one passed away shortly after this shot, he was found upside down under a heat lamp, in the big turtle enclosure. Just a freak accident, very sad though.
