haha, bill is around 3 to 5ish the vet said. he's a pretty cool dude, likes to be pet and doesn't pull into his shell. When i work in the yard, he always comes over for some attention or food. I got him as a rescue, don't know the details on how the shelter got him.

I agree with Shelly he looks old than 5 to me, His shell looks quite smooth, Looking at that pic i would say he is nearer to 10 than he is 5, A pic of the whole tort would be good.

So how old do you guys think? the shell looks great, no pyramiding. he's been eating a lot of nopales, weeds, grass and greens lately. drank alot today which was a relief. slowly waking up

I think the vet was right on. He looks about 5ish to me.

With the size comparison it is easier to tell I would agree with the vet. The first pic is deceptive he/she looks much bigger in it.

Size will vary mine is about 12 inches maybe 14 or so SCL. It all depends on genetics.
