Or more likely I have been living under a rock. Dubai roaches cost a dollar...for 1. Family not included. Wow!

I stopped by arguably one of the best at House of Tropics in Glen Burnie. The place has been there many decades and it's a nice place with very knowledgeable folks there. I haven't been there in a long time so we stopped in there to get some new food for Matt.

After getting him some food we came home and for 25 bucks online, I ordered what would be around $1700 bucks in crickets and mealworms going by the pet store prices! LOL

I have to get out more...

Yes $1.00 per large 1.25" roach, 50 cents for small 3/4".
My brain screamed;

49 bucks for a handful of the pond plants that grow in every local pond wasn't enough? Come on man!

We can do better but everyone seems to be jumping on the cash grab mentality.

We are creating a society that feels they all deserve to be paid half a million a year for peon task. Come to Cali and our Hotel workers minimum wage is $25 an hour or Fast Food workers is $20. Now people that are pretty worthless as workers 'deserve' a living wage and my burger just cost $22.19 and I had to order it myself on a damn computer that don't work.....while that $20 an hour employee watches me. We need to start telling people "your stupid again" instead of protecting their feelings.

My family owned a Motel on 'Motel Drive' in Fresno,CA for almost 40 years ..... we had colonies of roaches for years too, just not very good at getting rid of them.

The Roach Colonizer needs to have a wake up. Roach colonizers need a reality check .... they are not owed a I Phone 17 and airpods, with a new I pad so they can scroll Amazon in the Micky D's drive thru while they wear their Yeezy's in their new Charger. They should be riding (not driving) a city bus, with an Android wearing some discontinued Pro Wings ... Velcro ones. Sounds like your Dubai breeders are stuck in that dumb arse mentality of "I deserve a living wage." Makes me wonder what our Dubai are costing here in Cali if there that much in FL.

Costs and overhead are going up, insurance is skyrocketing because health care profits are shooting through the roof, at the same time Hospital are being bought up, ran for a year then closed, because the conglomerates are consolidating their profits. Rebuilding costs are going through the roof (pun intended). Flipping burgers used to be a starting job for high schoolers, but those years have past. Folks having to work 2 to 3 jobs to just keep their head above water is just NOT right...lets look at elons and let's look at bezos and zuck's among others compensation package (their names are NOT capitalized for a reason, because I have NO respect for any of them)

Kerry does not like roaches of any kind in our home. This she telegraphed quite clearly. I nearly caused Her a stroke last night when i said "oh dang, i left the cover off the roaches" while in bed...LOL

I thought it was funny.
She did not
That in itself intensified my own laughter
She got "face"(you know the look when they get mad)

It becomes interesting in a society when the person who has done nothing to develop any skills demand that society pay them. It will don't worry.....it will give them exactly what they truly deserve.

In the same vein are those seemingly at the top.

Do you know why we don't live in a huge expensive home when we could? Because those people are azzholes plain and simple. I hate those people as much as the "lazies".

See? Society repays both equally!

Call your folks to let them know how lucky that their son only wanted pet roaches, the Kushner parents had to deal with 5 kids including a certain son who had a meter long Caiman that cold easily damage any human flesh! I learned that some pets are not "family friendly".
