Still having trouble with Buster not eating.

One suggestion I received about dehydration related anorexia for tortoises is pedialyte.. Soak twice a day 50% pedialyte 50% water until appetite returns.

Sound like good advice ?

Sorry. Which one is Buster? The russian or the sulcata? Please catch me up to sped on the issue(s).

I don't think a Pedialyte solution will do much. In my experience a baby food soak with carrot or yams baby food, is more effective at pepping them up.

The first thing though is to discover and solve the problem. Treating the symptoms won't accomplish anything if the problem still exists.

I agree with Tom, except I do recommend the piedialyte. You can use it along with the baby food soaks.

Thanks. Buster is a Russian.

I was kind of taken aback about the baby food. I think I will try both ?
I should have taken him to the vet from day one. I bought him on October 13.
has anyone tried a product called "Nature Zone Worm Guard" ?

My temps and humidity are good. I don't have the experience to judge his activity level though.

The baby food turned out to be excellent advice. Mixed with the pedialyte he was actually sipping the water pretty good meaning he is taking in the pedialyte in quantity which was something I was concerned about.
