Pair of "sulcatas" in Big Bear, CA

I received a response to my email this a.m. The people in Big Bear were sure they had a pair of sulcatas, and appreciated my information. They said they would take down the ad immediately.

I wonder, couldn't they still be advertised on CL as "adopt a free pair of CDT?" Or do they now want to keep them?
Either way at least now they know what tortoises they have. Glad you heard back.

In my email to them I told them it was perfectly legal to adopt the tortoises out and sell the habitat equipment.

Well, the ad is back up--this time they didn't even bother listing a species, and they've dropped the price to $250. Talk about stubborn! Already texted them, they claimed to not know better... I pointed out the copious texts/emails the last time around... The response:

"ive been struggling hardcore and thought that the messages were kinda bull cause i was convinced that they were sulcatas but im not going to take that chance again"

Says s/he will be taking down the ads, but eh. Who knows.
