outside for the 1st time!!!

I am building an outside enclosure for my Herman's tortoise,,he's 1 year old...I am worried about red clover mites ,or red ants hurting him..should I be worried? I will post pics of his new outside home soon. also,what should the proper temps be for outside,and for nights? O have him at 70-90 during the day and down to 68 at night. is it different for when they're outside??

If that's him in your hand in your avatar, I think he's too small to be outside for any length of time alone. It's too cold at night for him, he needs to be inside. I personally wouldn't put him outside along for any period of time...

he's about 5 inches long and 4 wide,,much bigger..
