The weather in southern California is around 90 to 95, majority of my box turtles are either hiding or burying them selves in the soil.
1. is topsoil the only type if substrate or do I really need to use something else
2. they have a pool, so they have both to soak and to drink (separate bowl). is it to dry
3. is the right type of enclosure or should I change something. I built it myself

I have a lot of questions all the help is accepted thank you

Top soil is fine as long as it's deep enough for them to bury down to where it's cool.
Besides the pool, the top soil needs to be moistened
I'd have to see the enclosure in order to answer this question
