Yesterday was not super warm, but humid, in the mid 60's. It rained finally the prior two days, and nearly all of the boxies came out of hibernation.

This guy must have just eaten a snail (see the foamy mouth?) and is already getting frisky.

Then he took a swim.

Beautiful!!! That fence doesn't make your boxies crazy with pacing?

They look so healthy and gorgeous!! Great pics by the way. I bet they came out nice because it was cloudy.

They are beautiful! Still too cold here for any to come up, even though all the little sprouts are coming up in the turtle garden. I am waiting anxiously. Your's look so healthy and beautiful.

Steve....I just noticed those "blue" cheeks and front paws. Wow...hard to find.

Yes, he has blue on his throat as well. It seems to be a pied trait. He's my long-term project!

Well, the fence is new to them, so we'll see. They seem to get used to it in about a day. But time will tell, it's very early in the year, and their metabolisms are slow. I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Please keep me in mind if he produces anything that has the blue trait! He is exceptional!!

i just saw the pic that u said he must have eaten a snail because his mouth is foamy. It kind of looks like his cheeks are puffed and he is holding his breath lol

They all look great. It's been crazy warm here so early, and I have moved mine outside.

Great photo's! Would you mind telling me what kind of camera you have? I caught three of my box turtles out this morning too. Of course eating was not the first thing on the males mind.
