Good job on finding that egg. Way long time ago Mike Connors published an article in the CTTC newsletter Tortuga Gazette about the many species whose nest hatched naturally in So Cal. Maybe you'll be surprised and find a hatchling one day too.

You know...I was worried too. My fat girl was late having eggs, or a egg. Was going to get her checked. I seen her digging in the enclosure, she wasn't getting anywhere. So, I ran in the house and got the dish bucket. Got the dirt in and Pow!!!! Lol. I knew the egg was in there. Now I just have to wait for the rest. Lol. I always name them before they are born. This one is wild thing. Let you know when the rest come. Funny how late they are this year.

Another member is having some late digging and hopefully laying going on now too. I don't know how late leopards are suppose to lay, but mine just laid another clutch last week. Hope mine is done, nights getting cold.
Did you put her in the box and she had no problem using it? That's cool.

Yup, moist warm soil , dish bucket, less ten 10 mins. She's never been shy. Lol. Keep one in the house and out side now. I did put her in it. She didn't come out till the egg. Was buried. I should get a few more..let's see.

lol you can check for eggs by pressing lightly on there flap of skin that separates the legs and the middle shell if there lumps there eggs =] congrats
