Hi Yellow Turtle,

Thank you! We had a lot of fun designing Luis' home.

The loft railings are twigs from a trimmed tree. My husband drilled holes in the base, then we glued the twigs in place. However, the loft takes up a lot of room and Luis does not use it, so it's coming out this weekend. I've purchased a log cabin-looking hide from Petsmart (I think it is intended for rodents), so we'll do a bit of rearranging.

Yes, the succulents are fake. I found all of them at Michael's for a fraction of what pet stores want for reptile decor. However, I've purchased some live succulents that appear to be tortoise-safe and plan to add those to his enclosure.
