I was up at my MIL's the other day and noticed an Opuntia! I was so excited and asked her for a cutting. She said she has to use gloves because it has very tiny spines on it. We left for dinner and never got a cutting. Hubby is up there tonight and I asked him to get one for me.
Will the tiny spines hurt the tort(s)? It does not have any that I could see...Is that the kind everyone feeds? Or is there another truly spineless one? Either way, my nine year old loves cacti so he'll be happy when it gets here
