I was letting Omega walk around outside today and when I picked him up I felt his Plastron. It felt a little squishy in the middle where two scrutes came together. Is this normal for young Sulcatas?

Yes, it is normal for babies to be a bit soft.

Make sure you are feeding a good, varied diet, using a calcium supplement, and that Omega receives as much natural sunshine as possible and has a good MVB bulb indoors. Make sure he always has fresh water available and stays hydrated, and he will harden up and grow nice and healthy.

yes, its 'normal' but it can also be a sign of trouble. I have noticed in past posts, that 'we' says its normal, only to have that hatchling failing later...SO,,, Sunshine, excercise, good diet, hydration and CALCIUM..
And what is normal should harden and everything will be fine.

you worry when they start going soft, they are born soft and pliable, it is only when they are hard and then start going soft is when you worry. so if you can tell if he has been soft and not growing softer than no worries lots of sunshine and calcium will harden him up.
