Odd unusual tail???!!!!!

Aw...poor little stumpy. How's she gonna' dig a nest with only one back foot? The tail is a bit long for female, but I'm pretty sure it's female.


I guess I shoulda' looked at the last picture before I made my stumpy comment. I see that she actually does have two back feet.

That looks like a normal female tail to me. At least 2 of my females have a tail exactly like that.

I have a female missing a back foot (a raccoon bit it off long ago) and she is able to dig a perfect hole and lay her eggs like nothing is different. I don't know how she does it but her nest is perfect every time. The first time after she lost her foot I was ready to help with a little spoon, but she didn't need it at all!
