So my little guy started clawing the carpet today. He only does it when he is within a couple feet of me, sometimes he will do it while walking, only with his one foot every other step and then other times he will do it just sitting next to me, 3-5 times in a row. Its different than when he tries to dig under my clothes and he does it in the open. I cant figure out why he is doing this? To trim his claws? To show dominance to me?
I was only able to capture it once on the video before he decided to nap, and yes, I love kissing my little man despite the risk of salmonella lol

LOL, too cute, looking so tuff. Btw, my leopard is 4 and I have kissed him on his face since I got him as a hatchling and I have never gotten sick.

i think tortoises have a natural digging instinct.
I expect it's nothing .
Wifey, Tidgy and I kiss each other all the time and we're all fine.

Haha cute, I just pictured him trying to pound the ground and charge me. I would only have to use one finger to tip him over
