My sulcata hatchling, Olive, turned six months old yesterday, and I've noticed that her nails are rather long and sharp. I clipped her front feet, going a little close and drawing a slight amount of blood on one nail. I ceased clipping to check on it, but it was minor enough that it never actually bled past the nail. When I was done I noticed that she was blowing a few clear bubbles out her nose. They disappeared and she didn't produce any more, but I don't know what caused them in the first place. Could this possibly be a response to the pain? She displays no other signs of illness, such as gasping or runny eyes or discharge anywhere else. Her substrate was drier than usual for a few days, but now is back to 80% humidity, and her temps have been normal.
