Haha I think it's a russian aswell. And adorable one!
And I'm pretty sure you can feed a russian cactus pads. You can look for them in the grocery store, usually labeled nopales or nopalitos. Or just cactus pads. But they probably shouldn't be fed frequently.

Yes you can feed them cactus I'm not sure on which is safe.
