Hello Everyone,
I stumbled across this site while searching for info on how to best care for my newest family members. I recently aquired 2 sulcatas from a man who had to get rid of them. When the man turned them over he included the enclosure and the care sheet he was supplied with from the breeder. After reading Tom's thread I realize that perhaps the tank is set up completely wrong for them. They are currently housed in thier aquarium with a base layer of dirt, possibly mixed with some sand, that is about 4" deep and on top of that is another 4" of timothy hay. They came with a red heat lamp and a white UV lamp, plugged into a timer (on @7am, off @10pm) One side of the tank is kept around 95, the other side is cooler. Humidity gauges both show around 35. no night time heat source. (house temp is 68F) no water source, care sheet says to soak every other day. I have no idea how old they are, one is about 4" the other is 5" or 6". In fact all I really know about them is that they were shipped here (Indiana) from a breeder in Arizona, but I don't know how long ago. So tomorrow I will be out shopping for a water dish, any other suggestions?
