I will attempt to post pictures in some type of order. My wonderful husband did the work.
I was the advisor :), using information that I've learned from this forum.
It will house 5 Redfoots. Sizes 5 in. to 7 in. They will have complete access to their big outdoor enclosure that is covered in hardware cloth. We will have the ability to provide access to their garden, which is not predator proof, as we wish. My husband put locking doors everywhere.
The purpose of this house is a warm place to sleep. Not for confinement.
Hope you like this.image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Hey Kathy! Good job Jim!

Can you explain more about the doors? I see the 3 doors...But each large door has a smaller door, too? Curious about that.

Are you keeping substrate on the pond liner? Coco coir has worked well in mine.

All of the doors were Jims idea. He wanted the ability to open the small door and attach a ramp, if we want to let the tortoises into another area. The larger doors are to open for maintenance of the enclosure by us.
These tortoises have two yards.
Personally I would have put one more door in. Jim did an engineer thing. :)
Here is the other yard they can access if we open one of the small doors.
Confusing.

I definitely understood the 2 yards, I guess I just assumed the larger door was the torts door/ramp...So I didn't understand the little door.
But hey, it's an awesome house and they'll love it! You will too, I'm sure ;)

Are you going to "show and tell" night at the next meeting? You should show off your new house and the predator proof enclosure!

The show and tell was this past Friday. I brought 2 Redfoots and Jim brought a desert tort.
You were brought up and we talked about how well you guys are doing. Never home us so happy.
The meeting was packed. Quite a few new people came.
BTW. The substrate is a good organic soil and peat moss, at rhis moment.
:)

The show and tell was a great idea for a meeting...I'd have liked to be there!

Well, good job on the house again. Looking forward to more photos of it in use ;)

I can get you the info on the man that makes the license plate signs. He will make anything.
Here are our Redfoots. There are 7 total.
