If they are just the grasshopper/locust type they may become food. But they might also eat some plants if you place anything delicious in there.
I wouldn't worry about them.
Well for now they are eating the leftovers of them.
Is a selfcleaning habitat jijiji

Do you get the giant, slow moving black, orange and yellow ones in Puerto Rico that we have here?

I look some pics of the insects and they are not grasshoppers, the're crickets.

My outdoor Russian enclosure/garden hasn't had any problems with the crickets. We had a ton this year, but I don't think they or grasshoppers really ate any of the tortoise plants. :)

They arent eating any plants cause the heatwave here kill all of them but they are eating the leftover food of them. And that is not a problem cause it stay the area clean. My concern is that. If there are a lot of them it could be a health hazard to my torts ?
