today i decided i would just go ahead and make a couple pens for my Leopard and Russian tortoises. i was going to use wire fencing but until then bricks will do. my Russian doesnt dig very much so her getting out shouldnt be an issue. i will post pictures tomorrow when its completely done.

Lots of people use brick, so you might be able to save the green an stick with the brick. Can't wait to see the pics.

Yay. I know your Leopard desperately needed an outside pen :)

Brick is fine. I used brick for a while. Plus it is so easily moveable or expandable.

Can't wait to see it!

well my main concern with 'brick' would normally be that my Russian would burrow right by it, but like i said she doesnt dig all that much. we'll consider this a trial, if she stays in the area, then the 'brick' stay. haha. as soon as the sun rises here in AZ im going to finish it up, put together a hide for each pen and establish a section of shade. will put some 'toys' in each enclosure since my Russian loves climbing and my Leopard loves to shuffle things around now that hes more active. and yes, pictures are on their way..only reason i stopped working was because the sun set and was the same reason for no pictures, obviously. haha

sorry for the delay, got really busy and wasnt able to get to the enclosure..but here it is. will be getting a terra cotta saucer for each pen and some sort of flat stone for food. in each hide, its dug down about 4-5 inches, i cut the top off 2 two-liter bottles and put water in them to keep them humid, will experiment and see if i'll need to add another one or find another method. checked on the two after their first night out earlier..and all went well. my Russian was trying to climb her mountain of rocks, and the Leopard was eating some grass. went back out there and they both were in their hides, i sprayed both of their enclosures with a hose to make it more humid for them.
