Hi!
I just got my baby star (the pet store told me he is about 4 months old). I have him in a pretty large aquarium, and he seems to be doing good so far (he's eating well at least).
I have lots of questions! I hope some of you have Star's to help me out. I'm going to set up some hides for him today, and though I've been cautioned about the moisture risks for stars, it seems a moist hide is a good idea?
I also have him in an aquarium with clear sides, and it seems they do better when they can't see out? I am going to put up some aquarium paper so hopefully that helps.
I've got a light for the daytime and a heating pad for nightime, and his temps range from 70 at one end of the tank to 90 at the other.
I'm also going to give him his first bath today! So hopefully that goes well. I'm trying not to handle him or freak him out too much so he can get used to things. I just got him 2 days ago.
I'm so excited about having him and look forward to your advice!
Thanks!
Ariel
