So with my new born little monkee on her way I had to 're-situate my hero in a half shell to the garage. However English weather isn't great this time of year so I had to design the enclosure with great care to contain the heat . I have 160w uvb heat bulb for day temps around 85c and a 100w night lamp which keeps night temps around 75c with the day basking spot 90- 100c. I have chopped up an old wardrobe to create the extension making it waterproof for growing a selection of weeds for him to forage and for housing plants in. To top it all off I have attached all lights to timers and thermostats for regulation and consistency. Substrate is half sand half soil just need some plants and rocks to fill it out ,Hope he likes it .

Nice! Good idea for an edition :D
I concur, sand can cause health issues :( May I ask what you're going to be using the red bulb for? Red light rays are visible to torts, so if that's on at night, to him it's still quite bright and daylight, still :)
Does he like the water dish?
