HI everyone, I recently purchased this guy from an owner who didn't take care of him. He has a very big underbite sadly, but I am trying, to give him a better life now, And I hope you guys can help me with ideas.

Welcome totheforum. That poor tort, it is sad but some people just don’t care or don’t know.

Looks like a really overgrown beak but on the bottom. Not sure where you live but maybe have an exotic vet do a trim? I’ve taken my tort to an exotic vet here in Houston that Does a good job. Poor guy. Thankfully you got him now and do care!

I'm not sure it's just an overgrown beak. @Yvonne G may have seen something like this before and can help. Glad it's getting a better home now.

A combination of frequent, small trimmings of the lower beak, plus calcium rich foods is in order. It will take a year or so to get it right. Don't try to take too much off at a time. Tiny bits.
