Well we added our tortoise last week. He is a male russian tortoise. I am in the process of having my husband build me a tortoise table. I stole the idea from a picture on here :) Hope whoevers it is doesn't mind!!! It still isn't 100% done we need to stain and seal it. The little roof of the house lifts off for easy cleaning. We didn't make a door in the side I figured I could clean it without one. Also the stand underneath is actually two shelves for storage. I hope it works well for what we need. This is my first tortoise and I just want to give him a good home :)

Wow, that is a great looking table, I wonder how your little guy will take to the ramp? Lets hope he likes his second story getaway. ;)

I hope he does too!! We actually made it a easy incline. It came out farther onto the table than I wanted it to but it will be easier for him to go up and down and not steep. It actually has grooves in it for traction but we might need to put something else on it if the grooves don't do the trick. We are hoping he likes it. And the neat thing about it is under the house is an area for him to go under, thats why we made the house up a little ways. It actually gives him much more room on the table. We worked our tails off making it for him! Now if only we could decide on a name for him :)

It looks very good, how much room did you leave on the side of the ramp for the tortoise?

Its a weird angle on the pic but there are 10 inches on both sides. It actually looks quite a bit smaller than it does in person. But I am so short that it's hard to get a good pic

Oh yeah he will have lots of space. The ramp is HUGE but we figured we wanted to make it for him to grow into. And if he needs something bigger down the line I am sure we can figure something out. we were actually going to put the ramp at an angle but I wanted it to be at a very graduale incline. We can always move things around if/when he gets the hang of it :)

I am super short actually my daughters 11 yr old friends are my height or a little taller. So anyway it looks kinda weird from this angle. It is super big in person!! :)

When I built a house for my large sulcata, which was lifted off the ground to avoid the rain, he would not walk up the ramp so I built a box around the ramp so it looked like a tunnel and he went up and down with no issue after that...

I figured if it looked like the tunnel into his burrow he would go in it and it worked. :D
