So I just recently bought a Waterland Turtle Tub Medium Land enclosure for Stoli. It measures about 6ft L x 3ft W x 14 in H..I'm electing to use a Mega Ray MVB bulb as both my basking and UVA/UVB source. I'm moving to a top soil/peat moss mix for substrate with a little Cypress mulch on the top layer. I'm going to provide plenty of hides and such. My question is, where should I position my MVB light? I wanna make sure it doesn't get too cool on the far end. Night time temps at the moment in the Zoomed Tortoise House go to about 65-70 but I would assume with an open top enclosure I'll lose a tiny bit if trapped warmth. I though about buying a ceramic heat emmiter (lower Watt) to make sure the it's not too cool at night. Any thoughts it suggestions?
