I'm new here so sorry if this is in the wrong place but we have a box turtle that was outside hibernating but due to the rains we are having he has been flooded out. What do I do with him now?

Just put him into a box of moist leaves and put him back out in a cool dry place.

Just set him up in a box covered over with leafs like Yvonne said, then put the box out on your patio in a safe place for him to finish hibernation. He'll be fine...

fill a bin with soil and leaves if your going to keep it on your patio. That way it can dig down in the soil and the leaves will be good extra warmth. I use to do that with mine, because California dirt is so hard, water sits on top and causes problems

Hi,
No you can't do the same with a painted turtle. Painted turtles need to hibernate in the water.
I hope your not trying to hibernate a turtle now.
