Not correct. Not correct for any species.

That is old, out-dated, incorrect info. All my tortoises eat a substantial amount of spineless opuntia every summer. I feed out 5-10 five gallon buckets of opuntia pads each week all summer long. They still drink a lot of water and have well formed fibrous stools. Its good stuff.
